Pittock Mansion Holiday Decorating – 2017

For many years, CRS has volunteered to help decorate the card nooks at the Pittock Mansion for the holidays. The latest theme was “A Very Portland Christmas”—with decorations highlighting Portland sites. One nook boasted a large postcard depicting various sites for which Portland is famous. Many thanks to Travel Portland for giving us access to many of the pictures.

The other nook was decorated with a large mailbox, ready for all the postcards, and of course, Christmas cards and presents.

A hidden object in keeping with the current theme is created each year for the young at heart to look for. This year it was fabric postcards, which the Eastside Day neighborhood group created at their October meeting. They were amazing; so much creativity.
