I love shoes….and vintage hats. I collect them both, but my collection of fabric exceeds them both. I do love all things sewing and vintage.

I am the owner, designer, and patternmaker at Sew Chic Pattern Company where I make modern patterns with vintage style. I teach online at Craftsy.com and in stores and expos, and feel so very lucky to be counted as a special collections designer at Simplicity Patterns. I love to design clothes, but everything I do has no meaning if it doesn’t help you enjoy your craft of sewing.

Welcome to this place where I talk and teach about fashion, sewing, and my life as a pattern maker.

With a love for a things vintage, Laura Nash is the smiling expert patternmaker and designer of flirty modern fashions offered through her company Sew Chic Patterns. With a BS in apparel design and extensive experience in fit and evening wear, Laura teaches students how to become proficient in fit, sewing technique, and patternmaking. She is also a Craftsy instructor, a Threads Magazine author, and is a Special Collections Designer for Simplicity.
