Morning Activities – Open and Free to All Chapter Members

9:30 AM                  Doors Open

10:00 -10:30 AM   Free Cycle and Socializing

10:30 -11:00 AM   General Membership Meeting

11:00 AM – Noon   Improv Roses Program – Jill Huntington will give a slide show on translating the beauty of roses into fabric with an emphasis on fabric selection, color relationship, value, contrast, and color relativity.

Mid-Day

12:00-1:00 PM   Pop-Up Shop and Lunch 

Jill will have Improv Rose Fabric Kits for sale.  Each kit makes 2 roses of the same size and color with fabric to spare. Cost is $22.00 each, paid to Jill. 

Workshop attendees can bring a brown bag lunch to munch.


And in the afternoon, an Improv Roses Hands-on Workshop (Ticket Required)

1:00 – 4:30 PM (3.5 hours)

Registration: $50

Class Size Limit: 20

Jill will teach a hands-on class to create a rose quilt block with improvisational foundation paper piecing (FPP) as a creative, accessible method for quilters, garment sewers, and handbag makers to explore spontaneity, color play, and modern composition. 

No pattern required. You can use your own fabric or, for convenience, purchase an Improv Rose Fabric Kit for $22.00 each, paid to Jill.  Each kit makes 2 roses of the same size and color with fabric to spare.
