Spring Fling 2016

Join us on Saturday, March 12, 2016 for our tenth Spring Fling to learn something new or brush up on a skill. Columbia River Sewing boasts an extraordinary number of great sewing instructors, including members Marla Kazell, Marsha McClintock, and Debbie Utberg, to name just a few. We’ve learned how to make a hat from reclaimed plastic bags from Jean Burbach and beading techniques from Ruthann Carter. Elizabeth Miles taught us about altering RTW and Tricia Crockett taught how to copy RTW. Annette Leiser from Rose City Textiles helped us make a t-shirt unique and Rochelle Harper shared her expertise on working with fleece.
This year Debbie Utberg is back, along with members Joyce Auenson and Lisa Pridgen. Learn about fitting pants from Debbie. Joyce will help you get your garments to fit at the shoulders. Work through your stash with Lisa’s clever clothesline basket. Local knitting designer and teacher, Michelle Lee Bernstein show advanced beginner knitters how to fix (and recognize) common mistakes in your knitting.
Choose two classes:
Shoulder Fitting by Joyce Auenson
Tink, Drop, Frog: How Do I Fix This? by Michele Lee Bernstein
Stash Busting Basket by Lisa Pridgen
Trousers, Slacks, Pants! Oh, My! by Debbie Utberg
