Making Zippered Pouches the Easy Way by Lisa Pridgen

Instructions for one zippered pouch can be easily modified to make zippered bags of any size. Your fabric and embellishment choices are endless. Once you make the first one, you’ll want to make more. You are welcome to bring supplies to make more than one zippered pouch in class.

CLASS Preparation: none

SUPPLIES:

  • Sewing machine, general sewing supplies including Wonder clips or pins
  • Rotary cutter/ruler
  • Coordinating thread
  • Zipper foot (optional)
  • Embellishments (optional) buttons, lace, ribbon, rick-rack.
  • Two 9″ x 12″ pieces each of Outer Fabric, Lining Fabric
  • Two 9″ x 12″ of Fusible fleece or batting
  • 14″ polyester zipper


KIT FEE: Optional – purchase a kit of fabrics, fleece, and zipper for $8. Bring a neutral colored thread. An assortment of top-stitching thread will be available for your use.
